What Is A Radiant In Valorant?
As per the Valorant lore, there was once a major world-changing event called the First Light. This event is said to have been the catalyst that gave several individuals supernatural powers. These individuals are now known as Radiants. There are only a small number of Radiants on the global scale. Most of these Radiants only display limited amounts of power. However, there are some Radiants that have an immense amount of power. A majority of such individuals are agents in the Valorant Protocol. While many Agents in Valorant use Radiant technology, they do not possess Radiant powers. For example, Viper uses the Radiant technology for her chemicals but does not possess any Radiant powers. Similarly, Sova and Killjoy also use the Radiant technology but do not have any Radiant powers.
Agents With Radiant Powers
On the other hand, there are some Agents that have innate Radiant powers. These are listed below.
Phoenix Jett Omen Sage Reyna Skye Yoru Astra Fade Neon
The relationship between Radiants and non-Radiants seems to be tumultuous at best. Reyna seems to be the most out-spoken Agent through whom we get a glimpse at the status of Radiants in Valorant. While she definitely considers non-Radiants weaker (Her dialogue “You could never hope to match a Radiante!” indicates this), her dialogues also hint at oppression. She can be heard saying “We are finally free to use our power” which can be taken as an indication that Radiants were not always encouraged to display their powers.
Radiant Rank
Apart from this, Radiant is also a rank in Valorant. It includes only the top 500 players in each region. This usually means that only the top-tier Valorant players are able to crack this rank. That is what Radiant means in Valorant. For more Valorant content, check out What Is Team Ace In Valorant? (Explained)
